M.C.U. administers a robust financial aid program for students with need-based financial aid, public or private grants, and graduate assistantships/fellowships. To qualify for the aid programs, you must meet all general financial aid eligibility requirements and some additional conditions as outlined below. All programs require enrollment at M.C.U.. In addition to the programs described below, some academic departments offer financial assistance for summer enrollment. 1. How to apply We simplify the financial aid application process for all students. All applications for financial aid available by M.C.U. is made at the same time the student applies for M.C.U.. Our system will match eligible students to qualified aid options. There is no additional application process involved. All applications for financial aid or loans not administered by M.C.U. must be applied separately to the relevant agents or financial institutes. 2. List of Current Financial Aid Scholarships: Scholarships administered by the Financial Aid Office are awarded to students based on academic merit and financial need. - The Heyman scholarships are for M.C.U. students excelled in Science majors. Up to two scholarships at $20,000 each academic year are awarded. This is a highly competitive scholarship. Scholarships cover full tuition as well as an allowance for living expenses.
- Rockwell fellowship are awarded to students in business and management majors. Fellowships range between $2,000 to $15,000 each year based on performance in multidisciplinary fields.
Grants: Grants are awarded based on financial need. Recipients are not required to repay the amounts. - There are multiple grants awarded in most departments. Available grants may vary each year based on the ongoing projects in each department.
- The New Era Online Grant is established to promote online education. Most students with low incomes can qualify for this grant if enrolled in at least one online program.
Part Time Work - Work study: is intended to stimulate and promote part-time student employment, particularly students from low-income families, who are in need of earnings from such employment to pursue courses of study at institutions of higher education. - Online Work Study (Part time work for online degree program students) is specifically designed for low income online degree students. Loans: Only available to U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens. Loans not administered by M.C.U. must be applied separately to the relevant agents or financial institutes. Prequalification is required for approval.
